Tour overview

This product combines the classic Phong Nha Cave visitor route with an afternoon at Hava Valley. The morning is scenic and boat-led; the afternoon is built around swimming, kayaking and water activities. The Hava Valley activity ticket is included, while the 600 m zipline remains a self-funded extra.

  • Reach Phong Nha Cave by boat and explore its wet and dry visitor sections.
  • Keep the morning focused on the classic cave experience rather than rushing between attractions.
  • Have the included restaurant lunch before changing into water activities.
  • Swim and kayak at Hava Valley with the included activity ticket.
  • Choose the 600 m zipline separately if you want it; that activity is self-funded.

Choose this tour when you want the Son River experience but do not want a second major cave. Hava Valley changes the day from sightseeing to outdoor recreation after lunch, which makes the itinerary easier to compare against Mooc Spring, Ozo Park and Dark Cave combinations.

The shared-group rate is 1,350,000 VND per person (US$52.94 at CVT’s reference conversion). Lunch, Phong Nha Cave ticket and boat, Hava Valley activity ticket, transport, guide, water and travel insurance are included.

Why pair Phong Nha Cave with Hava Valley?

The morning and afternoon use different kinds of energy. Phong Nha Cave is a boat-and-sightseeing experience; Hava Valley is an outdoor water stop. Travelers who want the cave without the afternoon activity can choose the Phong Nha Cave Half-Day Tour. Those comparing different activity parks can also look at the Paradise Cave & Ozo Park Tour, which is currently one of CVT’s orphan-contextual Tour pages and benefits from a useful comparison link.
For other cave-and-water days in the region, consult the Phong Nha destination guide.

The included Hava ticket does not mean every premium activity is included

The tour includes the Hava Valley activity ticket, but the 600 m zipline is self-funded. That distinction matters: the base tour covers the scheduled Hava visit and activity access included with the tour, while the long zipline should be treated as an optional extra unless your booking confirmation says otherwise.

Who is this better for than Dark Cave?

Choose Hava Valley if you want an open-air water afternoon after the cave. Dark Cave is a more cave-centered adventure with protective gear and mud-bath activity. For the attraction-level difference, use the Dark Cave guide rather than assuming the two products are interchangeable.

Arrival logistics are flexible but should be confirmed

Pickup is offered from the listed Dong Hoi and Phong Nha-area points, including the airport, train station and bus station. If you are arriving the same morning, the Dong Hoi Train Station guide is a practical weak-linked handoff, but avoid planning a tight connection without confirming your exact pickup time.

08:00 — Pickup

Meet the vehicle and guide at the confirmed Dong Hoi or Phong Nha-area pickup point.

08:45 — Phong Nha boat station

Board the boat and travel along the Son River toward Phong Nha Cave.

Morning — Phong Nha Cave

Explore the wet and dry visitor sections of the cave, then return by boat to the central dock.

12:00 — Hava Valley and lunch

Continue to Hava Valley and have the included restaurant lunch.

14:00 — Hava Valley activities

Change for water activities. The schedule includes swimming, kayaking and a short zipline within the experience; the 600 m zipline is separately identified as self-funded.
